In 2002, the Red Oak Area Chamber of Commerce launched our Scholarship Program with Red Oak High School, a way for our Chamber and our local business owners to give back to our local high school seniors, and help them develop into future business leaders in our community. In 2016, the Red Oak Area Chamber included Life High School Waxahachie into the program, and has awarded scholarships to students from both schools each year.
All graduating seniors from ROHS or LHSW are encouraged to apply. Their assigned councelors at each schools have applications to fill out. Once the Chamber recieves those applications, the Scholarship Commitee will begin the interview process in late-April. Once the applications and interviews are processed, the Chamber will award scholarships to seniors at their respective school's award ceremony prior to graduation.
Funds for our Scholarship program comes from a portion of the proceeds collected at our Red Oak Chamber Classic Golf Tournament, and from donations from our local business owners. If you or your business would like to contribute, please contact the Chamber office at 972-617-0906.
