Whether you are new to the Chamber, or have a new location or facility, a Ribbon Cutting is an essential part of your Chamber Membership! We love to celebrate your successes with you and want to make sure that the community is a part of it. We provide the scissors, ribbon, plaque, and assist in marketing the event, we strive to help you make the event a success to showcase your business.
While we are open to holding ribbon cuttings at most any time, we find the most successful time for a ribbon cutting is Fridays at Noon, because most attendees are able to come during their lunch hour. Other successful times are Tuesdays or Thursdays in the late afternoon, or Wednesday mornings. While there are exceptions, we usually have less attendees on Saturdays, because most businesses are closed on Saturdays, and those that are open are usually busier than a weekday.
On the day of the ribbon cutting, our portion is relatively quick. We traditionally wait 5-10 minutes to make sure everyone has a chance to get there, then we host the ribbon cutting ceremony on Facebook Live. Once we welcome you, cut the ribbon, and present the plaque, the rest is up to you. Over the years, we have seen a little bit of everything, from as simple as a tour, to full sit-down meals and gift bags to take home, it is your choice.
